Cookie Policy
How British Training Institute uses cookies and similar technologies on this website.
About cookies
Cookies are small files a website can store on your device. We group the cookies used on this website into three categories: strictly necessary, analytics, and advertising. Only strictly necessary cookies are set when you arrive — nothing in the analytics or advertising categories runs until you accept it.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. You can accept them, reject them, or choose each category separately. Rejecting them does not affect your ability to use the website or send an enquiry. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are needed for the website to work and to keep enquiry forms secure. They include the bot-protection check (Cloudflare Turnstile) that runs when you submit a form, and a cookie that remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every page. These cannot be switched off.
Analytics cookies
Set only if you accept them. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the website — which pages are viewed, how people navigate, and which pages lead to enquiries — so that we can improve the site. This is measurement, not advertising.
Advertising cookies
Set only if you accept them. We use Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) to measure which advertising campaigns lead to enquiries and to support advertising to relevant audiences. Where you have accepted this category, these tools may also receive an irreversibly scrambled (“hashed”) version of your email address or phone number to match your enquiry to an advertising interaction, as described in our Privacy Policy.
How these tools are loaded
Tags are managed through Google Tag Manager and are governed by Google Consent Mode. Until you make a choice, analytics and advertising storage are set to “denied” by default, so no analytics or advertising cookies are written and no advertising identifiers are shared. The Meta Pixel is not loaded at all until you accept advertising cookies.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Removing strictly necessary cookies, including the one that stores your cookie choice, may affect how parts of the website function and will cause the banner to appear again.
